Layers of the Earth

Crust

The crust is the outermost layer of the Earth, it holds rocks and minerals.
The crust is the thinnest layer of the Earth, and it is composed of two types: the oceanic crust, which is denser and thicker, and the continental crust, which is lighter and thinner.

Athenosphere

The athenosphere is the layer of the Earth located just below the crust.
It is composed of semi-solid rock, and it is responsible for the movement of tectonic plates. The athenosphere is made up of solid rock that is heated and softened by the Earth's internal heat,
allowing it to slowly flow and move. This movement is what causes earthquakes and volcanic activity, the Athenosphere is the upper layer of the Mantle

Mantle

The Mantle is the largest core, and is made of mostly silicates, which are minerals that have silicon as a component.

Outer Core

The outer core is made of Nickel and Iron and is compeltely liquid that flows in convection currents.

Inner Core

The inner core is compressed and as such is solid, but made of mostly the same things as the outer core.
